Schaefer
Students and parents can purchase the Graduation DVD, senior video and
best of Whitman Shorts. E-mail Mr. Schaefer to receive a form or have
your student drop by room C-129 to pick up a form. If you have any

Osborne
Attention ALL Whitman Model UN Delegates.....We will be having our end
of the year meeting on Monday, May 19th at 2:15 pm in Ms. Osborne's room
W-120. We will be discussing our conference schedule for next year,
passing out t-shirts for those who pre-ordered them and announcing all
of our Executive Board and Executive Committee members at this meeting.
We encourage all delegates and those new who are interested in
participating in Model UN next year to attend this end of the year wrap
up meeting. Remember, Monday May 19th at 2:15 in W-120.

Freedman
If you are interested in running for class officer, please come to
W-119, after school, for a short meeting on the 20th.

Come to the Whitman auditorium this Saturday, May 17th, to see 15 senior
boys strut their stuff! Find out who will be crowned THIS YEAR'S MR.
WHITMAN! The show starts at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 at the door and
proceeds benefit charity. Don't miss the excitement!

N. Mornini
Like pizza? Like ice cream? Come to Ledo's Pizza and Wow Cow on River
Rd. Monday, May 19th after 5:00 pm. Proceeds will benefit the Freshmen
class.

Michael Curran
If you are interested in earning 40 - 48 community service hours helping
people hit by tornadoes in Suffolk, Va. during the week of June 15 - 20,
go to C-246 and talk to Mr. Curran or Jon Son for more information.
Checks are due today and should be made payable to WWHS in the amount of
$100. Anyone interested can also go to nrn.org for information.

Rockwell
Project Runway comes to Whitman! Come see the 2008 Fashion Show tonight
- the fantastic grand finale to the Arts week at Whitman. The show
features designers headed to the fashion world in New York City, Parsons
and Pratt! Support your designers and models at 7:30 pm tonight.

Goodwin
On Saturday, May 24th, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm (rain date: May 25th),
the Grassroot Soccer club will be hosting a "Lose the Shoes" barefoot
soccer tournament on Whitman's stadium field. The event will raise
money for Grassroot Soccer, an organization that teaches African
children about AIDS/HIV through the game of soccer. Students can sign
up in teams of 3-5 players. Each player must pay $5 to participate.
All money will be donated to the Grassroot Soccer organization.
Additional information about the organization can be found at
www.grasrootsoccer.org. Also, we would greatly appreciate local stores
and businesses to donate prizes for winning teams in the tournament.

Yearbooks are here!! Seniors can pick up their books Thursday and
Friday during both lunches, Juniors can pick up their books on Monday
during both lunch periods and Sophomores and Freshmen can pick theirs up
on Tuesday during both lunches. Students should go to D-122 for the
yearbooks.

Marafatsos
Senior Business Interns - Please pick up your 4th quarter evaluations
and don't forget that evaluations and portfolios are due May 19th. Come
to C-131 with any questions.

Koppel
Checka....Checka....Checka....The Chess Club meets today, after school,
in room C-313.

Webster
Have you thought about your club activities for next year? The Welcome
to Whitman Night committee is thinking ahead! If you pre-register your
club by June 10th, the club sponsor will be entered into a drawing for a
$50 Chipotle gift card to be awarded at Welcome to Whitman Night.
Pre-registration forms for clubs are available in the main office.
