“Classical Me,” a chance for classically-trained students to perform
As snow started to cover the ground, St. Dunstan’s Episcopal Church was filling with parents and students eagerly waiting for the second annual “Classical Me” concert to begin Feb. 2.

Enthusiastic parents and students, who all donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at the door, walked into the auditorium last night to experience Whitman Idol. Some people were even toting homemade signs with their friends names on them to show their support.
Wale raps for his hometown after national success
The nationally known emcee, Wale, played two back-to-back shows at D.C.’s most popular venue, the 9:30 Club, Jan. 1. The first day of a brand new year and decade, Wale was ushering in a new sound and movement in hip-hop.
Songs defining the decade
The ’60s were defined by Woodstock and psychedelic rock. The ’90s were the time of hip-hop, boy bands and the “Seattle Sound.” So what will the ‘00 decade be remembered for in music?

Despite terrible weather, the Whittier Woods auditorium was full of students, parents and members of the community last Tuesday excited to see the Tuesday Night Live Improv Night. The performance, put on by the theater class under English and theater teacher Ashley Houghton, consisted of nine acts almost as quirky and funny as“Whose Line Is It Anyway.”
