The child sex abuse scandal against former Penn State University defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky has not only rocked the Penn State community, but also communities across the country. The scandal, which allegedly began in 1994, has led to the dismissal of Penn State president Graham Spanier and legendary football coach Joe Paterno, who was in charge of the Nittany Lions football team for 46 years.

Baseball takes second loss of season
The baseball team lost to the Gaithersburg Trojans, 5-3, dropping their record to 5-2 on the season on April 6.
Starting pitcher Michael Flack took the mound for the Vikes in search of his fourth win on the young season. Flack recorded three quick Trojan (6-1) outs for an easy first inning.

The girls lacrosse team lost to the B-CC Barons, 13-7, evening their record 1-1 on the season on March 23.
The Lady Vikes grabbed the lead early when attacker Clara Schneider scored off of a pass from midfielder Corrine Lake.
