One year ago yesterday, Henrik Lundqvist and the New York Rangers ended the season for Alexander Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in a decisive game seven at Madison Square Garden. This year, the roles are reversed. The Caps have home ice for game seven, and have their own established playoff stalwart in Braden Holtby.
Senior night is a special night for any athlete, but this year the baseball team threw a curveball into the ceremonies. Dubbed “Veteran’s Night,” the team worked in conjunction with the Wounded Warriors Project to honor the service of local U.S. military veterans.

The wrestling team took a beating Jan. 23 when they lost 56-12 to the 11-0 Northwest Jaguars. Only three Viking wrestlers recorded wins and the team moved to an overall record of 6-4.
