    Third floor bathroom fire causes school day to end late

     After seeing a soap dispenser on fire in the third floor girls bathroom, senior Jung-Duk Seo pulled the fire alarm, sending students and staff scrambling out of the building at 1:50 p.m., just 20 minutes shy of dismissal.

    Gym floors will take several weeks to repair

    County maintenance workers estimate that repairs will take a minimum of three weeks before the floors in both gyms will be ready for P.E. classes to use. Sports teams will have to wait even longer.

    Montgomery County police detectives obtained an arrest warrant Dec. 17 to charge Mohau Mercy Mathibe for the Oct. 8 attempted murder of Whitman parent Ashoka Mody. The detectives also obtained a warrant for first-degree assault and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony.
